Open Day Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands
On Sunday 10 June, come visit the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to learn more about local, tasty as well as healthy food and lifestyles!
Both the Netherlands and China find themselves in an important phase, in which there is more concern for food safety and food security. This year’s Open Day, together with Farm2Neighbors (F2N), Shared Harvest, Thirst, The Bulk House, GoZeroWaste and Nuffic Neso China – NANC we present a program that is tasty, healthy and responsible.
With the Dutch Gastronomic Week at Hilton Beijing coming to an end, we proudly introduce one of the hard-working men behind all these delicious dishes. Dutch Cuisine Ambassador and Executive Chef Albert Kooy will give a presentation on their approach to food and answer questions from the audience.
Browse local vegetables and products from farmers in and around Beijing at the F2N + Shared Harvest farmers’ market. Want to learn how can we make farming more sustainable? Be sure not to miss their talk and hear about their point of view!
Thirst is organizing several activities for children to raise awareness to the global water crisis. Learn how to filter water, guess how much water is used to make one T-shirt and make a water wish for the future!
The Bulk House will show visitors simple tips and tricks on how to lessen consumption by reducing, reusing and repairing.
