Commemoration Warsaw Uprising 1944

Every year on the 1 August, Warsaw commemorates the outbreak of the Warsaw Uprising. The uprising against Nazi occupation in Warsaw, organised by the Home Army (Armia Krajowa) started at 5 pm, 1 August 1944 and lasted for 63 days.

With the laying of a wreath ambassador Van Dartel paid respect to those brave fighters and civilians who fought and died in this battle.
