Call for proposals for regional SRHR-HIV/AIDS programme 2016-2020 in southern Africa

The Netherlands Embassy in Maputo, Mozambique, coordinates the regional SRGR-HIV/AIDS programme for southern Africa and invites you to submit proposals for 2016 and onwards.

Since 2001 the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs has supported a regional SRHR & HIV/AIDS programme in southern Africa. From July 2016 till end of 2020, this programme will be continued in a new phase. For that reason a call for proposals is launched.

Consortia of at least 3 experienced partners are invited to submit:

    a concept note and budget (in maximum 3000 words) and;
    a track record of past experiences (in maximum 3000 words)

by 15 March 2016 to MAP-HIVAIDS@minbuza.nl

The concept note needs to reflect innovative ideas and modalities that improve the health/SRHR situation and reduce problems that cause HIV/AIDS, high unintended pregnancies and maternal mortality of at least 1 of following 3 target groups :

  1. adolescents and young people,
  2. key populations and
  3. mobile groups

while addressing 1 or more of 3 results areas:

  1. better information about sexuality and greater freedom of choice;
  2. improved access and use of SRH commodities and care;
  3. more respect of sexual and reproductive rights of above 3 target groups

in at least 4 of 12 prioritized countries in the Southern Africa Region
