28 September BJDW 2017: Dutch Architecture & You
- 751D·PARK // A19 Gearing Space, 4 Jiuxianqiao Rd
What was the architect’s design ambition?
What is the user’s experience?
What is the relationship between the Dutch architect and the Chinese context?
Dutch Design never stands on its own. Dutch architecture firms are well known for their integrated approach and far reaching involvement with end users. They have proved that their projects in China made users feel comfortable to live, study and work in. With an open mind, clear lines, strong and innovative concepts, Dutch architecture has a broad impact both in the Netherlands and abroad.
For the 2017 Beijing Design Week, the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands invites you to take a closer look at some prime examples throughout China and (re-)discover the buildings from different points of view, both from the architect's as well as the end user's.
The exhibition includes ten Dutch architecture firms around China: Kraaijvanger Architects, maison h, MARS Architects, MLA+, MORE Architecture, MVRDV, NEXT architects, OMA, Powerhouse company and SUPERIMPOSE ARCHITECTURE. The exhibition is designed by maison h
